What to do if a FirePoint Data Field Locks and Cannot be Edited

If you want to modify a locked field at the top of an existing Apparatus, Classes or Patients data entry view you must delete all related Responder, Roster or Treatments records to unlock the field. After the field has been modified reenter the related Responder, Roster or Treatment records.

If fields are locked during new record entry, try deleting invisible Responder, Roster or Treatment records. Click on the position of the first invisible record and press the Delete button.

If you wish to change an employee's ID number or station in Personnel, select the Personnel module. Under the File menu choose File Operations. Select Change Employee ID/Station.

FirePoint tracks personnel in both People and Personnel files. If the Personnel file has been installed enter your personnel information in the Personnel file. If you wish to update the People file from the Personnel file go to the Command Window. Press the Maint button. Select the Maintenance tab. Enter the User Maintenance password SetSupers. The People file will automatically rebuild from data entered in Personnel.
